이공갤러리는 독일 국적의 작고 작가 Karl Stengel의 작품 세계 일부를 조명한다.
Karl Stengel의 생애를 기록하고 그의 작품세계를 기억하기 위해 설립된 칼 스텐겔 재단은 이탈리아에 있으며 이공갤러리는 이번 전시를 위하여 피렌체의 아바 스튜디오와 미국의 Park fine art 대표와 접촉 했다.

칼 스텐겔 Karl Stengel 약력

Karl Stengel은 1925년 헝가리에서 태어났습니다.
러시아 감옥 수용소에서 석방된 후 부다페스트에 거주하면서 세트 디자인과 건축에 대한 관심과 더불어 깊이 있는 그림과 그래픽을 공부했습니다.

그는 Hochschule Pedagogical University of Monaco에서 의장을 지냈으며, 
Volkshochschule에서 그래픽 (에칭)을 가르치고 그림을 위한 사립학교를 운영했습니다.
그 후 몇 년 동안 그는 독일 (베를린, 모나코, 소머 하우젠)에서 중요한 전시회에 참가했으며 특히 모나코의 이탈리아 문화 연구소에서 보카치오의 데카메론과 주세페 운가 레티의 조각에 대한 삽화 展을 했습니다. 이탈리아의 피렌체, 볼로냐, 밀라노, 루카, 파르마, 피아 첸차, 노바라 등 주요 도시에서 전시한 Stengel은 폴란드(바르샤바, 크라 코와), 미국(뉴욕), 프랑스(파리), 스페인, 멕시코 및 루마니아 전시회에도 참여했습니다.

그는 2015년에 Monte Carlo Grand GemlucArt Edition에서 수상했으며 평생을 페인팅과 드로잉에 바쳤고 2017년 6월 25일 투스카나에서 생을 마감합니다. 

Karl Stengel was born in Hungary in 1925. 
After his release from a Russian prison camp, living in Budapest where he studied deeply painting and graphics in addition to an interest in set design and architecture. 
In the years after the Russian invasion (1956) continued his studies at the Academy of Fine Arts in Monaco of Bavaria. 

He had a chair at the Hochschule Pedagogical University of Monaco, taught graphic (etching) at the Volkshochschule and conducted his own private school for painting and drawing. 
In the following years he took part in important exhibitions in Germany (Berlin, Monaco, Sommerhausen) in particular that in the Institute of Italian Culture in Monaco, where he exhibited illustrations for Boccaccio's Decameron and the Fragments of Giuseppe Ungaretti.
In Italy he exhibited in major cities, Florence, Bologna, Milan, Lucca, Parma, Piacenza, Novara and - recently - back in Florence (San Lorenzo). Stengel participates in exhibitions in Poland (Warsaw, Krakowa), United States (New York), France (Paris), Spain, Mexico and Romania. 

He was honored at the Monte Carlo Grand GemlucArt Edition in 2015. 
He dedicated his hole life to painting and drawing and also spent time in Tuscany, 
where he died on 25 June 2017.
